The MMTC may be taken as either a one-year programme, or a two-year programme. The course is structured around four key elements:

1) Biblical Theology & Systematic Theology
For twenty weeks of the year, a detailed Bible Overview will examine God’s unfolding plan of redemption. This will pay particular attention to the covenants that God made with his people, and equip students to understand how the Old and New Testaments fit together to form a coherent whole. Two areas of Systematic Theology will also be studied in depth: The Doctrine of the Word of God and The Person and Work of Christ.
2) Biblical Exposition
The second session will consist of biblical expositions, which aim to demonstrate how to interpret and apply God’s Word.  A range of different genres of biblical literature will be examined during the year, including a New Testament Epistle, a Gospel, and an Old Testament book.
3) Practical Ministry (Year 1) & Advanced Ministry (Year 2)
In the third session students in Year 1 of the MMTC will take the course on Practical Ministry.  This will teach some of the basic skills required for Christian ministry including  Discipleship, Pastoral Care, Evangelism and Apologetics, Church Ministry,  Women’s Ministry,  Youth Ministry, and Children’s Ministry.  Students in Year 2 will take the course on Advanced Ministry including Biblical Interpretation,  Apologetics, Christian Counselling, Church History and other religions.
4) Small Groups
In the final session students will be placed into small groups (of 6 or 7 students), where they will have opportunity to put the skills they have been acquiring into practice.   These small groups will be led by experienced local church leaders.
5) Woman’s track
Woman taking the MMTC may opt to join the woman’s track rather than a small group. This track places emphasis on teaching the Bible to women, and on pastoral issues especially relevant to women.
